Public sector corruption hurts us all. Where undetected or unchecked, corruption wastes vital public resources and undermines the community’s trust in our public sector. Given these impacts, it is important to learn of the work being done across the public sector and broader community to help strengthen Victoria’s corruption resistance.

IBAC, Victoria’s anti-corruption commission, is responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. In partnership with the Victorian Ombudsman, Victorian Auditor General’s Office and the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria), we are pleased to be hosting the Victorian Corruption Prevention and Integrity Conference.

This conference is a timely and valuable opportunity to hear from experts and leaders in the field, to share learnings and actively participate in a practical and engaging capacity building event. It will include presentations and thought provoking discussions of real case studies, expert opinion and evidence-based findings to help you and your organisation build knowledge about corruption risks, and learn about ways to help strengthen your organisation’s capacity to promote integrity and prevent corruption.

The conference program is tailored to meet the specific interests of Victorian public sector CEOs, senior executives and integrity leaders in departments, agencies, local councils, and Victoria Police.

I look forward to joining you at what will be an insightful and significant event.
